Winning slot machines are a gambler's best friend!
Some people believe that there's no such thing as true
winning slot machines, and that the casinos have set them
up to never pay out. While this is certainly not true,
you can have a tough time is the machine you're playing
is not returning anything. In that case, I recommend simply
walking away - go find one more generous!
The best way to find the winning slot machines in a casino
is to ask the staff. Usually they'll be happy to point
out which machines are set to payout at the top posted
rate. You should be aware, though, that these are the
most sought-after slots on the floor and will more often
than not be occupied by die-hard slot players!
Slot machines can easily be set by the casino to generate
whatever payout they choose. For example, they may set
it to 97%. That means for every 100 dollars bet, the
machine will, on average, pay out 97 dollars. Remember
this is an average over time, not per playing session
- don't be fooled.
Most slot machines reward you for playing the maximum
number of coins. For example the jackpot may pay 2000
coins with 2 coins played, but 4000 coins when 3 coins
are played. If you don't feel comfortable playing the
maximum coins you might consider moving down to a machine
that accepts lower-value coins so you can play the maximum.
